22: Coffee with Ashley Mejias Pt. 2

ashleydiazmejiasAs one of the most diligent users of the library at Union Presbyterian Seminary I can testify that Ashley Mejias is doing the hard work. I could not help but stop and wonder from my perch at the circulation desk, “How does she get it all done?” One of my brightest times at the library is when Ashley brings one or both of her daughters to pick out or return some children’s books.

While some of Ashley’s responses in this interview bear out how tough graduate schools can be, she really has a heart for a particular ministry that will probably take you by surprise if you are foolish enough to judge the book (Ashley) by its cover (she is probably much smaller physically than most of the people she serves). Make no doubt, Ashley brings and bears the very power of God. Ashley goes where God calls, with humility and recognizable gifts.AshleyMejias2

It was my joy to interview Ashley and be encouraged by her life’s story – simultaneously unfolding and beautiful right now.
