Rev. Kerra B. English is the pastor at Ashland Presbyterian Church and a certified spiritual director on the faculty at Richmond Hill. Listen to this episode and see where Kerra’s journey may have similarities to your own. Hear some guidance and confessions as we talk about theodicy, the gifts of imperfection and opportunities that come from seeming failures.
Kerra is an alumna of Union Presbyterian Seminary and coordinating her class’ 20th year celebration. She also continues to be a recognized and respect patron of Morton Library at Union Presbyterian Seminary where our paths often cross. I thoroughly enjoy seeing her take in occasional meeting in the large, comfy chairs in our magnificent 3-story library atrium with the sun shining through the skylights passed the the two enormous, spired chandeliers. I wish more ministers had or found the time to be in this sacred, educational space.
There are many reasons to be grateful for Kerra, even beyond frequenting the theological library. She is a wife and mother of two. She is an affiliated member of United Faith Leaders which means you can locate her profile in the Greater Richmond area at unitedfaithleaders.com. She makes herself available there in several capacities: as pastor welcoming seekers to her congregation in Ashland, as a spiritual director for individuals or training other spiritual counselors, and more. Check out her profile to see how she can serve you (she’ll even Skype for meetings) and how you might use United Faith Leaders to serve your ministries.
