37: Coffee with Will Willimon Part 1

Willimon2Bishop Will Willimon and Henri Nouwen are the authors pastors read most. Speaking of “top two’s,” this was one of my first two interviews on Skype and I did not know how to separate the audio tracks. God gifted Will Willimon with a big voice and God gifted me with a gentle voice, as you will hear yourself.  We have since learned how to avoid these imbalances but this interview is far too fun and insightful to hold back from listeners.

“The way the risen Christ takes up room in the world.”

Willimon4You probably already know that Bishop Will Willimon is a funny man. Case and point, I included a bit before the formal interview demonstrating how his humor caught me off guard and left me befuddled and stammering before we even began. So, hold on to your hat, as this United Methodist Bishop tells about his 3rd Coming to Duke University and other lesson-laden stories. And if you like this … then you will definitely want to hear the extensive post-interview conversation with Bishop Willimon.
